Tools for Filmmakers
Plugins
Tools I build to make my own post-production faster and cleaner. If they save me time, chances are they'll help you too. The point is to take the friction out of the edit, so we can focus on the art of creating.
Built by a filmmaker, not a programmer.
These plugins were built to solve real problems I run into in my own post-production work. I'm not an experienced coder, so I use AI tools to turn my ideas into working editing tools. The concepts, design and real-world testing are mine; the code is written with AI assistance. I stay directly involved in every step of development to make sure each plugin performs as expected and delivers the best experience. I appreciate your support for the time, effort and creativity that go into them, and I hope they make your post-production workflow more enjoyable.

SyncIt
Timecode when you've got it. Waveform when you don't. SyncIt reads your camera clips and recorder files, lines them up by timecode, waveform, or even the motion in the picture, and builds a synced sequence in a few clicks. No more nudging clips into place by hand before you can start cutting.
- Syncs by timecode or audio waveform, choosing the best method for each clip
- Handles multiple cameras, multiple recorders, and recorders left rolling between takes
- Visual Sync lines up clips with no audio and no matching timecode by comparing the motion in the picture with cameras that are already synced
- Review every match by take before you sync, then build a new sequence without touching your existing media

B-Roll
Genie
Cutting b-roll to a voiceover is the tedious part of every edit. B-Roll Genie handles it in seconds, using its custom-built Vision Engine to pull real clips from your own library, never generated imagery, and lay down a rough cut you refine from there. Less time searching, more time creating.
- Matches your own footage to voiceover or talking-head video
- Finds real clips in your library with its custom-built Vision Engine, never generated imagery
- Builds a rough cut in seconds, then rearrange, replace, and refine from there
- Runs entirely on your computer, so your footage and transcripts are never uploaded

The
Library
You put in the work to get every shot right for a client, and that footage keeps its value long after the project wraps. The Library archives it into a searchable library so the clips you perfected are ready to reuse the next time you, or that client, need them. Build it once, pull from it for years.
- Archive footage by client and build a reusable library over time
- Tag clips automatically with the built-in Vision Engine, or manually when you prefer
- Search and pull the exact shot you need on any future project
- Works with any format Premiere can open, from phone clips to cinema cameras

LUT
Buddy
Find it. Preview it. Apply it. LUT Buddy turns a messy folder of LUTs into an organized library you can search, preview on your own footage, and apply to your timeline in one click. It never renames, moves, or deletes your LUT files.
- Organize LUTs with tags, collections, and favorites, and catch duplicates and damaged files
- Preview any LUT on a reference chart or a frame from your timeline, and compare up to four side by side
- Recognizes your cameras and suggests the right conversion LUT for the clips you select
- Start with 83 official LUT packs from 14 camera makers, then apply to every selected clip as one undo

Dailies
Toolkit
Ingest the way a DIT would. Point Dailies Toolkit at a shoot folder and it recognizes each camera and sound recorder, builds your bins, names and labels your clips, and logs camera settings, so the project is organized before the first cut.
- Recognizes card and file formats from professional cinema cameras all the way to action cameras, drones, smartphones, and sound recorders
- Builds your bin template, imports into the right bins, and color labels clips by camera
- Logs ISO, white balance, lens, and log profile into project columns, without ever touching camera originals
- Flags variable and mixed frame rates, HDR phone clips, and duplicates, then hands audio to SyncIt and LUTs to LUT Buddy

Spec
Check
Catch it before the client does. Spec Check runs a one-click check of your sequence against the spec it's being delivered to, and every problem it finds is one click from its spot on the timeline.
- Finds flash frames, true gaps, offline and disabled clips, and leftover TEMP markers
- Checks frame size, frame rate, and audio settings against YouTube, broadcast, social, or your own saved specs
- Measures the loudness and true peak of your mix against the delivery target
- Click any issue to jump right to it, then export a one-page QC report to send with the file

Downbeat
Cut to the music without tapping out markers by hand. Downbeat finds every beat, downbeat, and bar in a song, even audio inside a video file, marks them on your sequence, and snaps your cuts to the rhythm.
- Works with any audio Premiere can read, including music inside video files
- Finds tempo, beats, downbeats, bars, and phrases, with simple nudge controls
- Places color-coded markers right on your sequence, between your In and Out points
- Snaps edit points to the nearest beat or bar, or places a clip every few bars, as one undo

Archivist
Wrap the project, not your whole drive. Archivist finds the media your project actually uses, sets the rest aside in a holding folder, and packs a clean, verified archive that keeps your folder structure intact.
- Scans every sequence to show used and unused media by drive and folder, with sizes
- Moves unused files to a holding folder with an undo log, so nothing is ever deleted
- Copies only the media you used, keeps full camera card folders, and verifies every copy with a checksum
- Relinks a copy of your project to the archive and saves a manifest of everything inside
