Archivist

Wrap the project, not your whole drive.

When a project wraps, the drive is full of footage the edit never used. Archivist finds the media your project actually uses, sets the rest aside in a holding folder, and packs a clean, verified archive that keeps your folder structure intact.

How It Works

Scan. Set aside. Archive.

See what your edit really uses, move the rest to a holding folder you can restore from anytime, and copy what matters to an archive drive with every file verified.

The Headline Feature · Used Versus Unused

See exactly what your edit uses.

Archivist scans every sequence in your project and compares the media they use with what is sitting on your drives. You get a clear picture, drive by drive and folder by folder, of what is used, what isn't, and how much space it takes.

Every sequence

Nothing missed

All sequences in the project are scanned, so a clip used anywhere counts as used.

By drive

Where the space goes

Used and unused media are shown per drive and per folder, with clip counts and sizes.

Card aware

Camera folders kept whole

Camera card folders stay complete, so footage stays usable in any app later.

Move Unused Media Aside

Clear space without deleting a thing

Unused files move to a _Holding folder on the same drive, with an undo log. Nothing is ever deleted, and you choose what to keep, like media used by other projects in the folder.

Holding

Restore anything, anytime

Everything Archivist sets aside is listed by drive and folder, and every move is logged. Restore one folder or everything, and each file goes back exactly where it came from.

  • Undo log saved next to each holding folder
  • Restore one folder or all of it
  • Nothing is deleted, ever

Collect and Archive

A clean, verified archive

Archivist copies only the media you used to your archive drive, keeps camera card folders whole, and verifies every copy with a checksum. A copy of your project is relinked to the archive, and a manifest lists everything inside.

Safe by Design

Nothing is ever deleted.

Archivist moves and copies, it never deletes. Unused media waits in a holding folder you can restore from, and every archived file is checked against the original before it counts as done.

Holding

Set aside, not gone

Unused files go to a holding folder on the same drive, with a log to put them back.

Verified

Checksums on every copy

Each archived file is checked against its original, so you know the archive is complete.

Manifest

Know what is inside

A manifest lists every clip, size and checksum, plus anything offline, for the archive shelf.

Made for wrap day

Turn a full drive into a tidy archive and free up space for the next job.

Your structure, kept

Folders and camera card structures stay the way you shot them.

Peace of mind

Nothing deleted, every copy verified, and a manifest to prove it.
