Spec
Check

Catch it before the client does.

Flash frames, one-frame gaps, offline media and leftover temp music still slip through to delivery. Spec Check runs a one-click check of your sequence against the spec it's being delivered to, and every problem it finds is one click from its spot on the timeline.

How It Works

Pick a spec. Run the check. Sign off.

Choose the delivery you're checking against, run the check, fix what it finds, and send a one-page QC report with the file. Spec Check never changes your sequence on its own.

The Headline Feature · One-Click QC

Every issue, one click from the timeline.

Spec Check walks every track of your sequence and sorts what it finds into Must fix and Worth a look. Click Jump on any issue and the playhead lands right on it with the clip selected, so fixing it takes seconds.

Picture

Gaps that really show

Flash frames and true picture gaps are found with upper tracks in mind, so B-roll covering a gap is not flagged.

Media

Nothing offline

Offline media, disabled clips, and clips whose frame rate or frame size don't match the sequence are listed.

Notes

No temp leftovers

Markers and clip names like TEMP, TODO, slug and placeholder are caught before they reach the client.

Pick the Delivery Spec

Check against where it's going

Built-in specs cover YouTube, broadcast, social and a client master. Pick one and Spec Check compares your sequence settings and loudness against it.

Specs

Save the specs your clients use

Edit any built-in spec or save your own for a client, a network or a festival. Set the frame size, frame rate, audio, loudness and true peak, and choose which checks run.

  • Loudness and true peak measured on the full mix
  • Saved specs work in every project on your computer
  • Turn individual checks on or off per spec

Send a QC report with the file

When the list is clear, export a one-page QC report to send with the delivery, or copy a short summary into an email.

Built for Delivery Day

Nothing changes until you say so.

Spec Check only reads your sequence. It points at every problem and takes you straight to it, but fixing it is always your call, so a check never moves a clip or changes a setting behind your back.

Loudness

Measured, not guessed

Your mix is rendered through Media Encoder and measured for integrated loudness and true peak against the spec.

Ignore

Your call

Mark any issue as ignored and it stays out of the way, and out of the report.

Report

Proof it passed

A one-page QC report shows the spec, what was checked and what passed.

Checks flash frames · picture gaps · offline media · disabled clips · frame rate · frame size · audio settings · loudness · leftover markers

Before export, not after

Catch problems while they are still a quick fix instead of a redelivery.

Fits every delivery

From YouTube to broadcast to a client master, check against the spec that actually matters.

Made for editors

One click to check and one click to jump, so QC fits into the last five minutes of any edit.
